PREMIER LEAGUE - WEEK 17

Aston Villa vs Manchester City

City will be furious after their late collapse against bitter rivals United last weekend. Liverpool have been keeping the door ajar, but this won’t last for long, City need to start racking up the wins and fast to try and rescue this season. Villa have home advantage, they’ve won their last 2 at home, and they won this fixture last season. The onus is on City here though, they won the reverse fixture earlier in the season, they still have all the quality, and they are a massive price that can’t be ignored. Prediction: Manchester City -0.5 @ 2.17

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal

Back to back draws for the Gunners have seen them slip back to third. Selhurst Park probably isn’t their desired destination to revitalize their form and return to winning ways. Crystal Palace are in a good spell at the moment, unbeaten in 5, that includes holding Manchester City, Aston Villa & Newcastle to a point. Also picking up wins against Brighton and Ipswich in that run. They have been a tough nut to crack this season, especially for the bigger teams, earlier in the season holding Manchester United and Chelsea to draws too, beating Tottenham, and Liverpool only managed a 1-0 win. Arsenal are too short away here, we’ll take Palace and the draw. Check our Crystal Palace vs Arsenal markets here.

Prediction: Crystal Palace +0.5/+1 @ 2.15

Everton vs Chelsea

It’s 7 wins in a row in all competitions for Chelsea, 5 of those coming in the league. Their magnificent form of late has seen them climb to second place, and they’ll go top with a win, even if only for a few hours. Everton have been a little rocky of late, but when you take just the home form, it’s unbeaten in 5 with 2 wins, although this is their first test against one of the bigger teams. Chelsea have been scoring for fun, with 23 away goals in only 8 games. Everton haven’t been slouching at home either, scoring 9 in 7 at home, and they’ve scored in 4 of their last 5 home games. Chelsea may be too strong here, but Everton will put up a fight. Check our Everton vs Chelsea markets here.

Prediction: Chelsea & Both teams to score @ 3.00

Tottenham vs Liverpool

The highlight of the weekends’ action comes in London where Tottenham host the league leaders Liverpool. Tottenham have been so inconsistent this season. One moment they’re losing at home to Ipswich, then beating Manchester City 4-0 away, followed by taking a combined 1 point from Fulham & Bournemouth. A bit like Manchester United, they seem to only show up against the big teams. Lucky for us, this is a big game, and Liverpool have probably been priced too short given Tottenham’s recent form. After an amazing start to the season, the nerves seem to be getting to Liverpool now, dropping points in their last 2 games to Fulham and Newcastle. It’s the first time all season that they’ve dropped points in back-to-back games. Tottenham should be more competitive than the market predicts here. Check our Tottenham vs Liverpool markets here.

Prediction: Tottenham +0.5 @ 2.18
