PREMIER LEAGUE - WEEK 7

Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

Crystal Palace surprisingly find themselves in the relegation zone, lying in 18th place ahead of their clash with Liverpool. The Eagles are still without a league win this season, drawing 3 and losing 3. A damaging 2-1 defeat to Everton last week will dent their confidence as they look to bounce back.

They face stern opposition in a Liverpool side are currently firing on all cylinders and sit top of the table. A 2-0 win over Bologna in the Champions League makes it 5 consecutive wins and 8 wins from 9 games in all competitions.

While they certainly look good, Liverpool have had to deal with fixture congestion with this being their 6th game in 3 weeks. The reds may indeed get the win but I fancy the hosts to get something out of a Liverpool side who may begin to feel the effects of their heavy schedule. Prediction – Crystal Palace +1.0 @ 2.05

Manchester City vs Fulham

Manchester City will be looking to bounce back after being held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle last weekend in the league. The hosts did get back to winning ways after they thrashed Slovan Bratislava 4-0 which will restore their confidence.

Fulham have been punching above their weight so far this season and currently lie in 6th place in the league. They head into this game off the back of a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest last weekend.

The Cottagers have failed to win in their last 18 matches away from home against Manchester City and it is likely this record will continue. While the loss of Rodri for Manchester City is certainly a blow to the side, I expect them to have too much for their opponents in what should be a high-scoring affair. Prediction – Manchester City 1x2 & both teams to score @ 2.56

Everton vs Newcastle

A 2-1 win over Crystal Palace secured Everton’s first win of the season last weekend. This puts them in 16th place in the league and out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.

Newcastle have enjoyed a decent start to the season which saw them hold title holders Manchester City to a 1-1 draw last weekend. They backed this up with a 1-0 win over Wimbledon mid-week in the EFL cup. The Magpies lie in 7th in the league and will be looking to improve on that with a win here.

Newcastle have a good record against Everton, having won 5 of their last 8 meetings. Everton do have a strong home record, winning 6 of their last 8 home premier league games. Everton look to have turned a corner after their poor start to the season, and Newcastle without their main striker Alexander Isak, I think a draw looks the value here. Check our Everton vs Newcastle markets here.

Prediction – Draw 1x2 @ 3.60

Aston Villa vs Manchester Utd

Aston Villa have enjoyed a strong start to the season with no losses in their last 7 games, currently lying 5th in the league. An impressive 1-0 win over Bayern Munich midweek will fill them with confidence ahead of their clash with Manchester Utd.

The visitors come into this game in terrible form as pressure continues to mount on manager Erik Ten Hag. A 3-3 draw midweek against Porto means that Manchester Utd have won just 1 of their last 10 games in Europe. A negative 3 goal difference and just 7 points from their 6 league games sees the Red Devils in 13th place in the league.

There are bound to be goals in this fixture with both sides expected to get on the score sheet, but with the form Villa are in I will go for a home win Check our Aston Villa vs Manchester Utd markets here.

Prediction – Aston Villa 1x2 and Both Teams to Score @3.30

Brighton vs Tottenham

Brighton host Tottenham at the American Express Stadium in what should be a very entertaining game between 2 attacking teams. Spurs come into the game in good form off the back of a comprehensive 3-0 win over Manchester United last weekend. They followed this up with a 2-1 Europa League win over Ferencvaros Thursday. This makes it 5 consecutive wins for the visitors in all competitions. They have also found their scoring boots, scoring 13 times in those 5 fixtures.

The hosts’ form has dipped recently and a 4-2 loss to Chelsea last weekend means the Seagulls are without a win in their last 4 league games. They still sit in a respectable 9th place in the league on 9 points, 1 spot below their opponents.

Both sides are vulnerable at the back, but with Brighton’s conceding 8 goals in their last 3 games I expect Tottenham to exploit it and come away with the 3 points here. Check our Brighton vs Tottenham markets here.

Prediction – Tottenham 1x2 @ 2.21
