PREMIER LEAGUE - WEEK 8

Tottenham vs West Ham

The international break may have come at the right time for Tottenham after they threw away a 2-0 lead to Brighton to lose 3-2 in what manager Ange Postecoglou described as the ‘worst defeat’ of his tenure so far. They can take positives from an attacking perspective, scoring 15 goals in their last 6 games in all competitions.

Their opponents, West Ham, have ended their run of 5 games without a win with a victory over Ipswich last time out and they will feel they are heading back in the right direction. They too will take pride in the fact they’ve found the net in 8 of their 9 competitive games this season but clean sheets have been hard to come by, having conceded in all their last 6 games.

This came is likely to be a goal fest with both sides firing on all cylinders, but I think Spurs will have enough to get the win. Check our Tottenham vs West Ham here.

Prediction – Tottenham 1x2 & Over 3.5 goals @2.64

Bournemouth vs Arsenal

Arsenal make the trip to the Vitality Stadium looking for a win to keep the pressure on league leaders Liverpool. They currently lie in 3rd place, just 1 point off the Reds. The Gunners eased past Southampton 3-1 before the international break and will look for a similar result here.

The hosts on the other hand lie in 13th in the league in what has been a mixed season for them so far. A 1-0 loss to Leicester before the international break dampened spirits as they look to bounce back.

Since they returned to the Premier League, Bournemouth have had a terrible record against Arsenal, losing all 4 matches and conceding 13 goals in the process. I expect to see the trend continue. Check our Bournemouth vs Arsenal here.

Prediction – Arsenal 1x2 & Over 2.5 goals @2.36

Wolves vs Manchester City

2nd Place Manchester City will be looking to keep the pressure on leaders Liverpool as they travel to Molineux. Pep Guardiola’s men remain unbeaten this season but 2 consecutive draws to Arsenal and Newcastle knocked them off the top of the table.

Their opponents, Wolves, are still winless in the league this season and lie at the foot of the table with just 1 point. They have conceded the most goals so far in the league at 21, and against the highest-scoring team in the league, they are likely to add to that tally.

It would be silly to argue against a Manchester City win here, but the visitors have been sloppy in defence, and I wouldn’t bet against Wolves finding the net as well. Check our Wolves vs Manchester City markets here.

Prediction – Manchester City 1x2 and Both Teams to Score @2.48

Liverpool vs Chelsea

Chelsea travel to Anfield in what is the biggest game of the weekend. A 1-0 victory for Arne Slots men meant they went into the international break as Premier League leaders, but they face a tough test to maintain that status.

5 wins and 2 draws in their last 7 in all competitions means Enzo Maresca has also settled into his new management role. The Blues are up to 4th place despite a frustrating 1-1 draw to Nottingham Forest before the international break.

Of course, a win for either side would make a massive statement to the other teams in the league, but I think there is little to split the sides in what I predict to be a low scoring draw in a game neither side will want to lose. Check our Liverpool vs Chelsea markets here.

Prediction – Draw 1x2 & Under 2.5 goals @6.4

Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace

Crystal Place make the trip to the City Ground in search of their first league win this season. The Eagles have 3 draws and 4 losses this season and currently lie in 18th place in the league. Defeats to Everton and Liverpool before the international break sums up a miserable start for manager Oliver Glasner.

They face a Nottingham Forest side who have had a strong start to the season with only 1 loss so far this season and lie in 10th place in the league. They are, however without a win in their last week and will be hoping to put things right again.

Nottingham Forest are tied 2nd in goals conceded this season and I expect them to keep things tight. I expect a home victory in a low-scoring affair. Check our Nottingham Forest vs Crystal Palace markets here.

Prediction – Nottingham Forest 1x2 & Under 3.5 goals @2.90
