PREMIER LEAGUE - WEEK 9

Leicester vs Notts Forest

This Midlands derby looks like a tricky puzzle to solve with both teams in good form. Forest have been excellent away from home this season, remaining unbeaten in their four Premier League games away from the City ground. They have a good mix of defensive stability coupled with attacking players who can open up any defence.

Under Steve Cooper this season, Leicester City have made steady progress as they currently sit 14th in the league after eight games played. They fought hard from 2-0 down last weekend away to Southampton to come out with all three points. Under Friday night lights, I’m going for a low scoring affair. Prediction – Under 2.25 @ 2.12

Aston Villa vs Bournemouth

Aston Villa sit on top of the overall UCL standings (3-0) and come into this game in great form. They have 4 wins in their last 6 Premier League matches, and they welcome a Cherries side who will look to build on their surprise victory over Arsenal last Saturday. Both sides like to attack and I can see plenty goals here.

Unai Emery managed to rest a few first-choice players on Tuesday night and Villa will be confident of continuing their impressive home form. Check our Aston Villa vs Bournemouth here.

Prediction – Over 3.0 @ 2.04

Everton vs Fulham

Since the defeat against Aston Villa, the Toffees have steadied the ship under Sean Dyche, winning twice in their last five and obtaining three draws

Neither side are particularly known for outstanding defensive records, with both teams scoring in five of the last seven involving Everton and six of the previous seven involving Fulham. Fulham’s away form may cause them concern, as the Cottagers have won once away from home in their last six in all competitions.

Fulham are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games against Everton while keeping four clean sheets in the process. All three of those wins in that run have come at Goodison Park. Check our Everton vs Fulham markets here.

Prediction – Under 2.25 @ 2.26

Chelsea vs Newcastle

Chelsea travel to Anfield in what is the biggest game of the weekend. A 1-0 victory for Arne Slots men meant they went into the international break as Premier League leaders, but they face a tough test to maintain that status.

5 wins and 2 draws in their last 7 in all competitions means Enzo Maresca has also settled into his new management role. The Blues are up to 4th place despite a frustrating 1-1 draw to Nottingham Forest before the international break.

Of course, a win for either side would make a massive statement to the other teams in the league, but I think there is little to split the sides in what I predict to be a low scoring draw in a game neither side will want to lose. Check our Chelsea vs Newcastle markets here.

Prediction – Chelsea -1 @ 2.42

Arsenal vs Liverpool

The Gunners lost last weekend to Bournemouth and will be without William Saliba for the next three games. It feels like a defining few weeks for Arsenal’s title challenge with today’s game followed by two aways ties at Newcastle and Chelsea. A patchy 1-0 win at home to Shaktar Donetsk on Tuesday will get rid of the cobwebs from that EPL defeat but it does not get any easier with the arrival of the league leaders.

Arne Slot has slotted seamlessly into Jurgens Klopp’s shoes and has altered the Red’s shape slightly which has been rewarded with 7 wins from 8 games played. In what will be a cagey game, the visitors look to have a more balanced side and can prevail. Check our Arsenal vs Liverpool markets here.

Prediction – Liverpool 1x2 @ 2.90

Recommended Treble:

Leicester Under 2.25 @ 2.12

Everton Under 2.25 @ 2.26
