NFL - WEEK 3
It’s Week 3 of the NFL season and our traders have three more bets for the weekend's action.
New England Patriots (1-1) @ New York Jets (1-1)
After mixed results on the road, the New York Jets will be looking to impress in their first home game of the season. After missing most of last season to injury, Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has played their first 2 games without any concerns. It’s fair to say that their performances so far have not been spectacular which is understandable when they began their campaign with 2 away games.
Their opponents, New England have been somewhat of a bogey team for the Jets, having won on their last 8 visits to the MetLife Stadium while the Jets returned the favour with a win at the Gillette Stadium back in January.
For the Patriots it’s been a mixed start with 1 win and 1 loss so far. While their offence lacks in their star quality their performances have exceeded their expectations with 355 rushing yards in the first two games, 201 of them from running back Rhamondre Stevenson. Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) @ New Orleans Saints (2-0)
After 2 weeks of games, the Saints look unbeatable as they top the National League with comprehensive victories over the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys. Quarterback Derek Carr and halfback Alvin Kamara have been the standout performers at the early stages of the season as the Saints boast an impressive 91 points scored while conceding just 29.
The Eagles will be no pushover despite mixed results in their first 2 games. The addition of Saquon Barkley has strengthened their team and with their offensive firepower I feel they will still be in the game come the latter stages.

Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2) @ Buffalo Bills (2-0)
It’s a clash of teams at opposite ends of the American League as the Bills host the Jaguars. For the Jaguars it’s been a frustrating opening couple of weeks as they lost to Miami and Cleveland. Including last season Jacksonville have lost 7 of their last 8 games and are in desperate need of a win here to get their season back on track.
For the Bills they will hope to keep their momentum going after opening with wins over Arizona and Miami. That win over the Dolphins was particularly impressive as they dominated in all departments in the game.
Few can argue that the Bills are the better team in this matchup as their 5.5 handicap suggests. Home advantage will also play a positive role for the Bills as they look to punish a struggling Jaguars side who will have their work cut out. I fancy a comprehensive home win for this one.
