NFL - WEEK 8
Minnesota Vikings (5-1) @ Los Angeles Rams (2-4)
At SoFi Stadium on Thursday, Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings play Kyren Williams and the Los Angeles Rams in a matchup featuring a pair of the brightest stars in the league.
The Vikings’ offense has been dynamic, averaging around 28 points per game, which ranks among the best in the league. While the Rams have averaged only 19 points per game this season, placing them near the bottom of the scoring charts.
The potential return of Cooper Kupp could strengthen the Rams’ offense, but concerns about quarterback Matthew Stafford’s effectiveness remain. Meanwhile, the Vikings’ defence, one of the league’s best with only 17.8 points allowed per game and a strong sack total will ask questions of the Rams’ offense.
It looks set up for an away win. Check our Minnesota Vikings @ Los Angeles Rams markets here.
Prediction: Minnesota Vikings -3 @ 2.03
Tennessee Titans (1-5) @ Detroit Lions (5-1)
The Detroit Lions will be looking to maintain momentum after a massive win over the Minnesota Vikings when they host the Tennessee Titans in Week 8 of the NFL season on Sunday afternoon at Ford Field.
The Titans were outclassed by the Bills last weekend and had no answers for the halftime adjustments made by the Buffalo coaching staff. Tennessee led the Bills 10-0 in the second quarter last Sunday and still managed to lose by 24 points. It has lost by fewer than 7 only once this season.
Now, they face one of the best teams in the NFL in the Lions. QB Jared Goff continues to shine, and the Lions have speed and playmakers across the offense who will give the Titans plenty to think about. A comfortable home win looks likely. Check our Tennessee Titans @ Detroit Lions markets here.
Prediction: Detroit Lions -11.5 @ 1.99
New York Giants (2-5) @ Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2)
The New York Giants and Pittsburgh Steelers meet Monday in week 8 NFL action at Acrisure Stadium
After dismantling the New York Jets last time out to move to a 5-2 record, the hosts will look to do the same to the other side from the Big Apple in a big game for both teams.
The visitors arrive on the back of a drubbing at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles, and with a 2-5 to their own name, really need to find some form, and fast. The Giants face the AFC North-leading Steelers, who scored 31 unanswered points in a dominant second-half performance in their 37-15 victory over the Jets on Sunday night.
Coach Mike Tomlin’s decision to swap Russell Wilson in for Justin Fields at QB for the Steelers, has sparked a revitalized offense and may position the team as a serious playoff contender. The Steelers have also made impressive strides defensively, complementing their emerging offensive capabilities. Check our New York Giants @ Pittsburgh Steelers markets here.
Prediction: Over 36.5 @ 1.98
